From 9 October until 15 March 2020 Palazzo Braschi in Rome is going to host an unmissable exhibition of works by the italian sculptor Antonio Canova. The exhibition will show more than 170 works of art by Canova and his contemporaries.
Antonio Canova (Possagno, 1757 – Venezia, 1822) was an italian sculptor and painter, known as the maximum exponent of Neoclassicism. His sculpture was inspired by the Baroque and the classical revival, he used to realize his sculptures in white marble with harmonious shapes. Some of his most famous works are Amore e Psiche, Teseo sul Minotauro, Adone e Venere, Ebe, Le tre Grazie and Paolina Borghese.
